L-ornithine is said to improve athletic performance by reducing fatigue and increasing space strength and power. My husband enjoys road biking and often goes on 50 mile bike rides at the weekend, recording his rides on Strava (yes, he is a Strava geek), trying to better himself each time. As he's not getting any younger, and doesn't have as much energy as he used to, a stop-off at a cake shop is often warranted and when he does finally return home, the rest of the day is a bit of a write-off, and he is rendered a fat lot of good in helping me in the garden. I thought I would try him on these. I thought about slipping some in his coffee to negate the placebo effect, but thought better of it so the experiment has been carried out with his full knowledge and permission. Before each ride, he has taken the suggested dose of two capsules. The verdict: * His said that the capsules were very easy to swallow and didn't have any adverse effects on his stomach. * His ride stats did improve - he was able to stay in maximum heart rate over a longer period of time. * He has only stopped off at the cake shop once. * He has been far less useless upon returning home. Now, whether these effects have been psychological I do not know but I will be trying this supplement myself having recently returned to the gym after lockdown. These tablets provide very good value and the packaging is more than adequate to keep them fresh. They came with a security seal under the lid And a decent enough best before date, giving me ten months' shelf life.

Love that I found these in veggie caps as I Don't eat gelatine I'm glad that their are supplants out there that are gelatin free. L-ornithine supplementation has the potential to relieve stress and improve sleep quality related to fatigue.

So I've been waiting to try this for when my wife and I started Joel Greene's weightloss protocol which has a number of additional supplements involved. The ornithine coupled with arginine during a restricted calorie diet are supposed to confer a number of different benefits, one of which is to encourage better sleep (through the production of other hormone and hormone precursors). We've only been adding supplements one at a time since if something doesn't support sleep we don't want to guess which one it is. Last night was the time to add the ornithine and arginine. We both woke up feeling like we had been sedated the night before after having a pretty sound night's sleep. So off to a good start, as long as it doesn't turn into more pervasive sluggishness.

Easy to swallow I've not noticed any difference in my self but hopefully it'd doing what it's supposed to do

I have been taking this Swanson L-Ornithine supplement for nearly a month now and I really believe it has helped decrease my stress in a highly stressful period for me (moving houses). I have fewer heart palpitations and panic attacks due to stress than usual and I have also been able to fall asleep quicker. The pill in itself has a soft shell and is not too thick which makes it easy to swallow. I will keep using it until I empty the bottle and I might buy it again whenever I have to face a particularly stressful period.
